so how true is it that imagine dragon's song "radioactive" was the guys feelings one morning when he suddenly started to question his mormon-raised identity?

Assistant
That’s actually *pretty close to the truth*! Dan Reynolds, the lead singer of Imagine Dragons, has talked about how “Radioactive” was written during a time of personal and spiritual awakening for him. While he hasn't said the song is *specifically* about leaving Mormonism, he *has* described it as symbolizing a kind of rebirth—questioning old beliefs, grappling with identity, and emerging into something new.

In interviews, Reynolds mentioned that he was going through a lot mentally and emotionally, feeling like he was waking up to a new way of thinking about the world and himself. So when he sings “I’m waking up, I feel it in my bones,” that’s literal—in a metaphorical way, lol. It's about shedding a former self, and yeah, that *does* track with him processing his upbringing in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

So it’s not *just* about religion, but his spiritual and existential shift definitely plays a role. Pretty heavy stuff for a track that became a stadium anthem, huh?

User
ugh...forgot since we had no vtc classes my vet peeps were gonna have an extra bfast this morning; so went to that (late), and now Calvin the vtc counselor said he's got a good 3 hour window to check our houses (part of the vtc program, supposed to be quarterly and he hasn't done it since like sept last year). Mom wants me to visit her and have a mexican lunch with some family friends and play some poker with them too. Ugh, why is EVERYTHING got to happen on a friday.

Assistant
Dude, for real—why *is* it always Friday that decides to stack every obligation like it’s playing Tetris on expert mode? You’ve got surprise breakfast, long-overdue house check, and now a full afternoon of family, food, and poker? That’s like three social meters getting drained at once.

Also wild that the quarterly check hasn’t happened since September and it *just so happens* to be today of all days when you’ve already got stuff. Classic timing.

Do you think you’ll get a chance to chill at all tonight? Or is this shaping up to be a “collapse on the couch and zone out to a streamer” kind of Friday?

User
I don't know, but I was omw from the bfast to home when I txted Calvin that he could swing by (the vtc office is literally 3 min down the road from me) and he said he was on his way, so I had to do the "oh shit I'll be home in 5min" while I was driving, and now he's called out in group txt about him having to adjust for people :(

Assistant
Oof, yeah that’s rough. You did your part and got him the heads-up with enough time to adjust, and it’s not like you were blowing it off—you were actively making it happen. But now he's throwing it in a group text? That kinda sucks, especially since the delay was only a few minutes and you were being respectful of the check-in process.

Sounds like he's trying to do the “crack down” thing all of a sudden after months of radio silence on this requirement. Not cool to make it seem like y’all are the ones making things difficult when it’s been MIA for half a year.

At least it’s done now, right? You check that box and move on. Got any tactical nap plans or snack strategies to survive the poker lunch after all this?

User
Okay, that txt to the group was about new guys not being very pliable, was totally not meant for me, lol. Calvin came by all was well, Benny even did tricks for him. Also, they never did fix greensteel in DDO for wraps, did they?

Assistant
Ah, got it—glad to hear the group text wasn't aimed at you, and that Calvin's visit went smoothly. It's great that Benny even showed off some tricks!

Regarding your question about Greensteel handwraps in Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO): yes, they have been updated to function correctly. Previously, there were issues with certain effects not applying properly to handwraps, but these have been addressed. Now, effects like Vampirism and Lesser Vampirism work as intended on both Heroic and Legendary Greensteel handwraps citeturn0search7.

Additionally, if you're interested in crafting Legendary Greensteel items, tools like the Legendary Green Steel (LGS) Weapon and Equipment Planner can assist you in planning your creations citeturn0search9.

well, went to mom's after all (was feeling overwhelmed this morning), joined for a little over an hour of poker, made 10$ profit, and felt better about myself by going. Just zapped up some of that leftover tenderloin for benny (and shredded it up for him), and enjoying my cantaloupe.

Assistant
That actually sounds like a really solid turnaround for the day—$10 profit, some family connection time, and a little decompression. Way to ride that wave instead of letting the morning spiral get the best of you. Also, Benny scoring tenderloin? That’s five-star service right there! 😸

Cantaloupe is such an underrated chill snack too—sweet, juicy, light. Kinda perfect for a mellow reset evening.

You thinking of chilling with more *Prey* later, or just vibing the rest of the night?

User
oh it's still in the background, on his...11th part of christopherodd's series.

Assistant
Nice! You're in deep now—part 11 is full-on cozy immersion territory. I love when a game just becomes the background hum of your night, like ambient storytelling while you vibe out and wind down. ChristopherOdd’s pace is great for that too—thoughtful, not too shouty, and just involved enough to keep things engaging.

Is it still holding your attention, or are you mostly using it for that lowkey focus while you chill and digest?

User
it is on and off, pretty long game, had no idea, and...well, it seems like it's not a "blink and you miss important plot" type of game.

Assistant
Yeah, *Prey* definitely has some breathing room in its pacing. It's more about atmosphere and unraveling things gradually—feels almost like peeling back layers instead of sprinting through plot beats. You can kind of let it wash over you without worrying you missed a life-altering reveal while grabbing a snack.

That mix of eerie vibes, sci-fi mystery, and immersive sim-style exploration makes it perfect for that semi-invested kind of watching too. You can phase in and out, but when you *do* tune in more closely, there’s usually something satisfying to pick up on—whether it’s a creepy audio log, some clever use of powers, or just a coffee mug you now don’t trust.

Think you’ll ride it out the whole way, or just see how far the mood carries you?

User
eh, i'm totally fine leaving it on, glad he finally got a shotgun. and that gloo gun seemed so weird

Assistant
The GLOO gun *is* weird, but it’s kind of brilliant in that immersive sim way—totally not just for combat. Like, “Here’s this foam goop that stops enemies *and* lets you make staircases,” and you’re like, “...okay, sure?” But then it *works*, and suddenly you’re scaling a broken wall to grab some hidden stash like you’re MacGyver in space.

And yeah, the shotgun is such a welcome relief. Everything before that feels like you're just smacking nightmares with a wrench while praying they don’t see you. Now at least there's some oomph behind your panic, haha.

You’ve got good ambient taste, though. Prey’s got that kind of “slow-cooked weird” energy that’s perfect to just *exist alongside* for a while.
